Marco Reus was able to complete the entire training session on Tuesday, as Borussia Dortmund continued their preparations for the new season.

With the start of the new season drawing ever so close, the Borussia Dortmund players took part in another high intensity training session on Tuesday. With several key players set to head off for international duty next week, the next few days represent the final chance for Lucien Favre to have his entire squad available for training before the start of the season.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Marco Reus was able to take part in the entire training session today. The 31 year old is said to be making rapid progress on his road to recovery. New signing Reinier Jesus also completed the entire session and made a bright impression.

Borussia Dortmund were without six players for Tuesday’s session. Long-term absentees Marcel Schmelzer, Dan Axel Zagadou and Thomas Meunier are on the road to recovery from their respective injuries. But also missing today were Thorgan Hazard, Lukasz Piszczek and Marius Wolf. However, the local newspaper adds that the trio should be back in training by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

Borussia Dortmund’s next two pre-season games take place on Friday, as they go up against SC Paderborn and VfL Bochum at the Brackel training centre. The latter team announced earlier today that their entire squad and coaching staff has gone into quarantine after a positive COVID-19 test in their camp. So it remains to be seen if that game will still go ahead.
