Borussia Dortmund vs Borussia Monchengladbach – 09/19/2020

Borussia Dortmund will kick off their Bundesliga season with the prime time Saturday game against Borussia Monchengladbach in what will surely be a tough test. Dortmund will be thrust right into high gear in a very important game against a team with top four ambitions. Starting off on the right foot will be very important for Lucien Favre’s side as they will need to keep pace with Bayern Munich, who seem to be in red hot form.

One big positive for Dortmund is that they do have an exceptional record against Gladbach in recent seasons, which will be a massive confidence boost for the squad.

Augsburg vs Borussia Dortmund – 09/26/2020

Dortmund will then travel to Augsburg for their second Bundesliga game on the 26th of September. If Marco Reus isn’t able to make it back to the starting XI in time for Gladbach, hopefully he will be in line to start in this one as Dortmund typically struggle away from home against teams in the bottom half of the table.

Augsburg didn’t make too many major changes this off season but they did add some Bundesliga depth. Rafal Gikiewicz, Daniel Caligiuri and Tobias Stroble were all added this summer. Borussia Dortmund scored a total of ten goals in their two meetings against Augsburg last season, and fans will be hoping for more of the same this year.
