Erling Haaland will lead the line for Borussia Dortmund this season, looking to pick up where he left off last season. The 20 year old made an immediate impact following his January move from RB Salzburg, finding the net 16 times in just 18 appearances. If he can stay fit and keep his incredible scoring run going, Borussia Dortmund’s chances of winning the title this season will increase manifold.

Haaland brings a lot more to the table than just his ability to score goals for fun. With his electrifying pace, physical presence, his impressive link-up play and excellent movement, the Norwegian international has given Borussia Dortmund’s attack a whole new dimension.

There were games last season where Haaland was rather ineffective, thanks largely to the lack of service from those behind him. And Lucien Favre will need to ensure that the standards of support Haaland gets from his teammates do not drop off in certain games this season.

Haaland is without a doubt the most lethal centre-forward Borussia Dortmund have had since the departure of Robert Lewandowski in 2014. And if he gets enough service from his supporting cast, there is no reason why he cannot lead his side to the Bundesliga title this season.
