How Borussia Dortmund could line up this season with Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho leading the line

Central Midfield: Axel Witsel
Despite his excellent passing stats, Witsel certainly wasn’t at his reliable best last season. But the Belgian international will without a doubt be a key player for Borussia Dortmund this season as they look to compete for the Bundesliga title again.
Witsel has been a mainstay in Borussia Dortmund’s midfield since his arrival in 2018. Although, sometimes Favre has overused the 31 year old, and he has looked visibly tired in some of the games over the last two seasons. Hopefully, he will be afforded a rest this season for some not so important games with the depth Dortmund have in midfield.
Heading into his third season with Borussia Dortmund, Witsel is also in line to be named the second vice-captain behind Marco Reus and Mats Hummels. With two years remaining on his current contract, this is a crucial season for the influential midfielder. And hopefully, we will see him return to his dominant best in the middle of the park this season.
