Immanuel Pherai could be set for a chance in the Borussia Dortmund first team this season, with head coach Lucien Favre reportedly a big fan.

According to BILD, Borussia Dortmund are planning to make Immanuel Pherai a part of their first team squad for this season. Head coach Lucien Favre is said to be a big fan of the versatile forward, and wants to give him an opportunity in the first team. The 19 year old joined Borussia Dortmund from AZ Alkmaar three years ago and has been on the periphery of being a first team player for the last 12 months now.

The tabloid adds that Nnamdi Collins will not be integrated into the first team until next year, and will spend this season playing with the Borussia Dortmund U-19s. The 16 year old signed a new contract with Dortmund earlier this year, rejecting interest from a number of big clubs, including Manchester City and Chelsea.

As for Ansgar Knauff, BILD claim that it is still unclear what the BVB bosses’ plans are with him. Knauff has impressed during pre-season after being called up from the U-19s. And it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.

One player who will almost certainly be playing for the senior team this season is Youssoufa Moukoko. And the 15 year old continued his incredible rise on Thursday by getting an assist on his debut for Germany U-20s. Moukoko will become eligible to play for the first team when he turns 16 in November, and if he continues to make waves for the youth teams, we will see him line up at the Signal Iduna Park sooner rather than later.
