Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of finalising the arrival of highly rated Manchester City forward Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
It was reported last month that Borussia Dortmund were leading the race for the signature of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who is currently part of the Manchester City youth academy. Now BILD claim that the Black and Yellows have been in agreement with the 16 year old for months, and the deal should be finalised in the coming week.
Bynoe-Gittens, who was a target for a number of big clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris St. Germain, is set to become the second Manchester City youngster to join Borussia Dortmund. He is set to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho, who left the Premier League giants for Dortmund as a 17 year old in 2017.
Bynoe-Gittens is primarily a left winger but is capable of playing on the right, as well as in the second striker role.
BILD add that Bynoe-Gittens is expected to play for the Borussia Dortmund U-19s under head coach Mike Tullberg this season. And if he performs well, a promotion to the senior team could be on the cards as early as next season.
Bynoe-Gittens is considered to be one of the hottest prospects in England, and he will join the Borussia Dortmund U-19s squad which already contains some of Europe’s most talented young players. The England U-16s international will certainly be one to watch over the coming years, as he aims to become the next youngster to make it to the BVB senior team.
