Forwards: Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland, Gio Reyna

Borussia Dortmund’s attack is set to be absolutely lethal yet again this season with all of their young weapons getting a year older.

With Marco Reus just coming back from injury, he will be saved for Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga game against Gladbach instead of starting in this one. It remains to be seen if he is fully fit, so giving him 30 minutes off the bench would be a safer choice.

Lucien Favre could turn to a very youthful but experienced attack in this Pokal tie. Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland will look to get their chemistry going right away in this game. They are going to make or break Dortmund’s Bundesliga and Pokal challenges this season, and it all starts on Monday.

Gio Reyna will be the player to join them in the attack after thoroughly impressing all pre-season. Reyna is looking at his first full season as a first team player with Borussia Dortmund and looks ready to take the next step in his development at only 17 years old. He has Favre’s trust and gets the nod as the third forward in the front three.
