Erling Haaland – 84 Overall

Although Erling Haaland received a massive boost from his FIFA 20 rating going from a 73 to an 84, with everything he accomplished it’s still quite frankly a little low.

When you put into perspective what he actually did last season it pales in comparison to the 84 rating. Erling Haaland scored 44 goals and had 10 assists in only 40 games in all competitions. Some of those goals were with Salzburg and some with Dortmund, but no matter where he played including Champions League, he succeeded. He scored 10 goals and notched 1 assist in Europe’s premier club competition.

Not saying 84 is a poor rating, it’s not, but if Erling Haaland moved to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG or Manchester City in the January transfer window, he would probably be looking at an 85+ rating. To put it in very real perspective, in the FIFA 19 release after Kylian Mbappe’s first season with PSG where he had 13 goals and 7 assists in 28 games he was given an 87 rating. Haaland absolutely smashed that season and wasn’t given nearly the same credit.
