Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1 Arminia Bielefeld

Top-flight newcomers Armenia Bielefeld have adapted to life in the Bundesliga really well and took a positive point away from home against a struggling Eintracht Frankfurt side. Cebio Soukou put Bielefeld ahead after being set free in the area and made no mistake with an excellent finish into the bottom corner.

The lead didn’t last long though as Andre Silva headed Frankfurt level ten minutes later to earn a share of the spoils. Both teams had their chances to win the game late on, but Bielefeld will no doubt be the happier team, having earned a draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Union Berlin 1-3 Augsburg

It was clear that Union Berlin badly missed their fans when the football returned towards the end of last season and even though the 5,000 fans managed to create a bit of atmosphere on Saturday, ultimately, they fell to a disappointing defeat to Augsburg late on.

Ruben Vargas deservedly put the visitors ahead on the stroke of half-time before Marius Butler pulled the home side level. However, two late goals from Michael Gregoritsch and Andre Hahn stole all three points in the capital for Augsburg.
