Team News

Borussia Dortmund

Lucien Favre and Borussia Dortmund lost Thorgan Hazard to injury early on against Gladbach and will be without him for several weeks. Dortmund’s left side was looking pretty thin last week with Felix Passlack needing to come on in replacement. Passlack was a great surprise against Gladbach though, showing he still is capable of playing for Dortmund. Not something too may people would have bet on seeing again.

On the other side of the injury report, Raphael Guerreiro looks set to return to the squad after returning to full team training this week. That’s a massive boost for Dortmund, with Guerreiro cementing his spot as a crucial member of the Dortmund first team last year. Outside of Guerreiro jumping into the starting XI, Favre will likely keep the rest of the team the same.

FC Augsburg

FC Augsburg won’t be without too many players in this one, but Eduard Löwen, Simon Asta, Jan Moravek are expected to miss the game.

Expected Line-ups

Borussia Dortmund: Bürki – Can, Hummels, Akanji – Meunier, Witsel, Bellingham, Guerreiro – Sancho, Haaland, Reyna

FC Augsburg: Gikiewicz – Framberger , Gouweleeuw , Uduokhai , Iago – Khedira , Gruezo – Caligiuri , Vargas – Gregoritsch – Niederlechner
