Potential formations both sides could use

Augsburg typically play with a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 formation, with one of the two strikers dropping a bit deeper to play in the number ten position off the ball. Michael Gregoritsch will likely be the man tasked with creating chances and making things awkward for the likes of Witsel and Bellingham to play through the middle.

One big question for Lucien Favre will be regarding captain and talisman Marco Reus, does he bring him back into the side or give him minutes in the second half to slowly bring his fitness up. Otherwise, Borussia Dortmund have a fairly settled starting XI, with only one enforced change expected from the 3-0 win over Gladbach.

Augsburg will be without Eduard Löwen, Simon Asta, Jan Moravek, but do have Alfred Finnbogason with a further week’s training under his belt after he made his comeback from the bench against Union Berlin last weekend.

Borussia Dortmund will be without a number of long term absentees, as well as Thorgan Hazard. Raphael Guerreiro is back in training though, and could replace the Belgian international at left wing-back. If he isn’t fully fit by Saturday, Felix Passlack could take his place in the starting XI.
