Wing-Backs and Midfielders Thomas Meunier, Axel Witsel, Jude Bellingham, Felix Passlack

Meunier will keep his spot at right wing-back and it will certainly be interesting to see how he fares against Augsburg. The Belgian is competent on the ball and solid at defending, but he will need to offer more going forward especially in games where Dortmund have majority of the ball.

Axel Witsel is set to line up in defensive midfield on the back of an impressive performance against Gladbach. Witsel keeps the play ticking and dictates the tempo of the game for Borussia Dortmund, making him a vital cog in the team. He holds his position well and allows the more creative players in front of him to venture forward and play their natural game.

Jude Bellingham has hit the ground running at Borussia Dortmund, with a goal and an assist in his first two appearances. The 17-year-old has been a revelation and he will be looking to carry on his excellent form as he looks to cement his place in the starting XI for weeks to come.

Lucien Favre said during his press conference that a decision on Raphael Guerreiro’s fitness will be made on Friday. With him being questionable, we could see Felix Passlack get the nod to start at left wing-back. Passlack showed last weekend that he is reliable and this could well be the catalyst for him to get a regular run in the side.
