Marco Reus (5.5/10)

Reus was brought on in the 60th minute and didn’t have his usual impact. Dortmund were already trailing by two goals when he was brought into the game though, so Reus didn’t really have the chance to settle into a rhythm as they were trying to play catch up immediately.

Julian Brandt (5.5/10)

Julian Brandt was brought on in the double sub with Marco Reus and tried to do what he could in the attempted comeback. Brandt did have turnovers but when you’re brought on, down 2-0 you instantly have to just try and move the ball forward as aggressively as possible. Brandt could be in line for a start next week after this disappointing performance from the starting XI.

Reinier Jesus (4.5/10)

Reinier made his Bundesliga debut coming on in the 70th minute. It wasn’t the dream debut he likely expected, coming on in a desperate attempt to find any sort of comeback. Reinier tried a few back heels and flicks which isn’t something you should even think about attempting when 2-0 down. And the fact that they didn’t come off made his performance more frustrating.
