Borussia Dortmund look to bounce back against Bayern Munich: DFL Supercup Preview

Players to Watch

Coming off a tough loss that almost all Dortmund players underwhelmed in, all eyes will be on the the attacking stars to perform in this one. Jadon Sancho was far from his best against Augsburg and was missing his usual killer pass or finish. If Dortmund are going to claim their first trophy of the year in the Supercup, Sancho will have to do a lot more in this one. Erling Haaland also had an uncharacteristically quiet game against Augsburg and will be looking to bounce back with a goal or two against Bayern.

This could be the game we also see Marco Reus make his return to the starting XI after coming off of the bench the last three games. Reus has a history of scoring big goals against Bayern so having the Dortmund captain back in the starting XI would be a big boost.

Without a doubt the player to watch for Bayern will be Robert Lewandowski who has an excellent record against Borussia Dortmund. All eyes will also be on newcomer Leroy Sane as he takes part in his first game against Borussia Dortmund.
