Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich
By Tushar Bahl
Emre Can (6.5/10)
After a rough afternoon against Augsburg, Can put in a performance tonight which was much more characteristic of him. He won 75% of his duels and looked much more focused and robust defensively. There were still a few sloppy passes from him, but overall it was a very solid display from the German international.
Mats Hummels (7/10)
Hummels always looked in control and kept Robert Lewandowski quiet for the majority of the game. He won the majority of his challenges and made a number of important clearances. He won the ball a total of eight times before being replaced by Lukasz Piszczek in the second half.
Manuel Akanji (7/10)
Akanji also had a much better game, and looked very much up for the fight tonight. He was always looking to get stuck in, and won the ball in the build-up to both of Borussia Dortmund’s goals. He made a few sloppy passes in the first half, but ended up with a pass success rate of 82%.
