Marco Reus (6.5/10)

Making his return to the starting XI, Marco Reus put in a hard working shift and had several promising moments. He had a good chance to equalise in the 24th minute, but his shot didn’t cause any problems to Manuel Neuer. He then played an excellent through ball for Erling Haaland in the second half, but the Bayern goalkeeper stood firm again.

He also tracked back and helped out defensively on a number of occasions, most notably on a first half Bayern counter attack, where he made a crucial interception to strip the ball off of Kingsley Coman.

Julian Brandt (6.5/10)

The first half was a bit of a struggle for Brandt as he made a number of careless and sloppy errors. But he showed great composure to pull a goal back for his side before half time. Hopefully that goal will be the confidence booster he needs to get back to form in the coming weeks.

Erling Haaland (7.5/10)

Haaland was more involved in his side’s attacking play tonight, and was rewarded with a goal and an assist. He probably should have made it 3-2 in Borussia Dortmund’s favour when played through on goal at the hour mark. But Manuel Neuer made an excellent save to deny him.

He was subbed off soon after as Lucien Favre looked to rest his players ahead of this weekend’s game.
