Expected Borussia Dortmund lineup: Questions aplenty for Lucien Favre ahead of Freiburg test

Borussia Dortmund will be back in Bundesliga action on Saturday as they face a must-win game at home to SC Freiburg.

Following back to back defeats at the hands of Augsburg and Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund go into this weekend’s game desperately in need of a win. But Freiburg are never an easy team to beat, and could cause Lucien Favre’s side a number of problems.

Borussia Dortmund will definitely be without Thorgan Hazard, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Mateu Morey and Marcel Schmelzer. A decision on Jadon Sancho and Roman Bürki’s fitness will be made on Friday, Lucien Favre confirmed during his pre-match press conference. The Englishman missed the Bayern game with a slight cold, but did return to training on Thursday.

Goalkeeper: Marwin Hitz

Hitz did a fairly decent job filling in for Roman Bürki on Wednesday night. He was unlucky with two of Bayern’s goals and will be in goal once again if his compatriot fails to recover from his respiratory infection.
