Borussia Dortmund winger Marius Wolf has joined FC Köln on a season long loan deal, while Maximilian Philipp is back in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg.

Marius Wolf is now a Billy Goat, joining Bundesliga side FC Köln on a season long loan deal. The versatile winger spent last season on loan at Hertha Berlin, but returned to Borussia Dortmund in the summer after the capital club decided not to trigger their purchase option. But after failing to make an impression on Lucien Favre, he joins FC Köln where he will be aiming to be a regular starter.

Wolf joined Borussia Dortmund from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018, and made 23 appearances in his debut season with the club. He still has three years remaining on his contract with the Black and Yellows.

Ex-Dortmund forward joins Wolfsburg

Another former Borussia Dortmund player is back in the Bundesliga, with Maximilian Philipp joining VfL Wolfsburg on a season long loan deal. Philipp joined Borussia Dortmund in 2017, and enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with the club. But a tendon injury halted his progress, and he fell out of favour following Lucien Favre’s arrival.

Philipp was sold to Russian Premier League side Dynamo Moscow last summer, but now returns to the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg on a one year loan deal. Still only 26, Philipp will be hopeful that this move will give him the chance to revitalise his career.
