Borussia Dortmund players are currently away on international duty, but will be back in action on October 17th with games coming thick and fast after that.

Borussia Dortmund still have another week and a half left of the international break, but they will be back to Bundesliga action in no time on October 17th. When the Black and Yellows return, they will face a lot of games in quick succession, as the schedule becomes significantly more compact from now until December. Dortmund will have to fact two games a week from here until the end of the year, and the depth of their squad will truly be put to the test.

Here we look at what Lucien Favre’s side will be up against before the end of this month.

TSG Hoffenheim vs Borussia Dortmund – October 17th (Bundesliga)

Borussia Dortmund will travel to Hoffenheim in their first Bundesliga game back from the international break. Dortmund have started off the season relatively well, with two wins and a defeat in three games, conceding only two goals in the lone loss against Augsburg. Erling Haaland will be looking to build on his four goal tally so far this season right off the start.

Hoffenheim have given Borussia Dortmund trouble in recent years and on top of that have started off the season very strong. Hoffenheim also have two wins and one draw in their first three games with one of those wins being a 4-1 thrashing of Bayern Munich. Andrej Kramaric has carried Hoffenheim through the first three games, with six goals in that span. He scored four unanswered goals when the two teams met in June, and will be a big threat again.
