By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to improve their poor recent record against TSG Hoffenheim when the two sides meet in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Following an international break which seemed to last forever, Borussia Dortmund finally return to Bundesliga action this weekend, aiming to build on their 4-0 win over SC Freiburg. On Saturday, they go up against a Hoffenheim side that has already beaten Bayern Munich this season.

Free-scoring Hoffenheim began their season with a bang, finding the net nine times in their opening three games of the season. Their impressive start including a 4-1 thrashing of Bayern Munich, the Bavarians’ only defeat of the calendar year to date. But their progress was halted two weeks ago, when Eintracht Frankfurt beat them 2-1.
Despite that defeat, confidence will be high in the Hoffenheim camp. And their excellent recent form against Borussia Dortmund, combined with the scoring streak of Andrej Kramarić means that we could be in for a closely fought game on Saturday.

Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways in comprehensive fashion against SC Freiburg two weeks ago. Led by Gio Reyna and Erling Haaland, the Black and Yellows looked to be at their best in their 4-0 victory. And head coach Lucien Favre will be aiming to build on that win in the coming weeks in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League, with his side facing seven games in the next 21 days.
Borussia Dortmund haven’t beaten Hoffenheim in their last five meetings, but cannot afford a defeat heading into a crucial run of games.
