The last time these two sides met was on the final day of last season, and it was a day to forget for Borussia Dortmund, as they suffered a 4-0 defeat to Hoffenheim, with Andrej Kramarić scoring all four goals.
The Croatian international was in inspired form, as he beat Roman Bürki twice in the first half, before adding two more in the first five minutes of the second half. The Borussia Dortmund defence was breached far too easily again and again by the sublime Hoffenheim attack. And despite enjoying 60% of the ball, the Black and Yellows never really looked like scoring, as the entire team had an off day with second place already in the bag.

Hoffenheim did the double over Borussia Dortmund last season, and fans will be hoping that Lucien Favre’s side can produce a much better result against the team from Sinsheim this time around.
