Thomas Meunier (5.5/10)

Meunier worked hard and was unlucky that his first half header only hit the bar. He looked very much in control defensively for large parts of the game. But he also seemed to be lacking accuracy going forward, especially with his crossing.

Axel Witsel (6/10)

Witsel once again did his job well, but wasn’t as involved going forward as he normally is. He looked to offer the team more defensive protection after Piszczek’s injury, and succeeded in his task more often than not.

Mahmoud Dahoud (5.5/10)

Dahoud was the surprise starter in midfield, but showed his commitment and determination to get involved in the team’s attacking build-up play. His forward passing often lacked precision, as his inconsistency was on show once again.

Felix Passlack (7/10)

Passlack came in for Raphael Guerreiro in the starting XI, and was heavily involved in Borussia Dortmund’s attacking play. The 22 year old added great energy to the team and never stopped running. He was always looking to help out on both ends of the pitch and didn’t put a foot wrong defensively, winning five tackles.
