Gio Reyna (6/10)

Retaining his spot in the starting XI, Reyna had his fair share of chances to score. He had an effort cleared off the line towards the end of the first half, and then failed to find the target with another excellent chance late on. Some of his decision making was frustrating, but his flick on before Marco Reus’ winner was a really well weighted header.

Jadon Sancho (5/10)

Sancho returned to the starting XI but failed to offer the attacking threat that he so often does.  He had an excellent chance in the first half, but fired his effort wide. He lost the ball far too cheaply and way too often, but he also showed some excellent tricks and flicks. Considering he hasn’t played much in the last three weeks, him having a day off is somewhat understandable.

Julian Brandt (5.5/10)

Brandt replaced Erling Haaland in the number nine role, but struggled to get involved in the game for large periods. Although he did play some decent passes and set up some nice half-chances, Borussia Dortmund seemed to be missing Haaland’s presence up front.
