Previous Meeting: Borussia Dortmund 6-0 Arminia Bielefeld

The two teams last met all the way back in 2009, and Borussia Dortmund enjoyed a 6-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld on the penultimate matchday of the 2008/09 season. Sebastian Kehl opened the scoring for the Black and Yellows on the stroke of half time, before they ran riot and added five goals in the second half.

Tamás Hajnal and Nelson Haedo Valdez scored to make it 3-0, before Sebastian Kehl added his second to give Dortmund an unassailable lead. Goals from Tinga and Mohamed Zidan then added icing on the cake, giving Borussia Dortmund a dominant win in their final home game of the season.

The following matchday saw Arminia Bielefeld get relegated from the Bundesliga, while Borussia Dortmund narrowly missed out on securing Europa League football.
