Home dominance to start the season

The win over Zenit helped make it four wins from four at the Westfalenstadion for Borussia Dortmund this season. They have kept a clean sheet in all four, and Erling Haaland’s late goal ensured that all of them have come by at least a two goal margin.

It is what you would expect from the side given their history at home. But that does not make this any less impressive though, especially considering they do not have their usual packed crowd to spur them on. The league games have all had limited capacity, and today’s game was played behind closed doors. They have also had to rotate for every fixture, coming away with a win regardless of personal.

It is something they will need to continue doing, as Borussia Dortmund’s next game at home is against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga in under two weeks time. It will be the second big home test of the season after Borussia Mönchengladbach, and could be a statement for the side if the good form continues.
