Thomas Delaney (6.5/10)

Delaney kept things tight in front of defence with a solid and robust performance. He covered a lot of ground and nearly forced an own goal just before Hummels’ second. But his shot was deflected onto the woodwork by Mike van der Hoorn.

Jude Bellingham (7.5/10)

Bellingham had an excellent game in midfield and was heavily involved in Borussia Dortmund’s attacking play. He looked confident on the ball and was always trying to make things happen. He distributed the ball well and made some important tackles.

The 17 year old was unlucky that his deep low cross wasn’t turned in by Manuel Akanji towards the end of the first half. Bellingham also came close to scoring with a well taken overhead kick, but he just couldn’t generate enough power on it to beat the goalkeeper. His through ball to Marco Reus led to Borussia Dortmund’s second goal.
