Borussia Dortmund suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in a hard fought contest at the Westfalenstadion on Saturday evening.

In what was a close battle between Germany’s top two teams, Bayern Munich came from behind to register a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund. The Black and Yellows took the lead through Marco Reus, but goals from David Alaba, Robert Lewandowski and Leroy Sané helped Bayern turn things around. Erling Haaland pulled one back for Dortmund, but they weren’t able to complete the comeback late on.

The Black and Yellows had many chances and could have easily been at least two goals to the good before Marco Reus’ opener. Bayern showed how clinical they are in front of goal and if it was not for VAR and Roman Bürki’s left post, it could have been a lot worse for Lucien Favre’s men.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their loss to Bayern Munich.

Roman Bürki (6.5/10)

Normally you would say any keeper who concedes three goals in a game had a bad day at the office, but that cannot really be said for Roman Bürki. He had no chance on any of the three goals scored by Bayern, with two coming off of cruel deflections.

He was tidy and did everything that you would expect from him including smart saves in the 13th minute from a Leon Goretzka header, another in the 27th minute and a fine stop in the 52nd minute from a Kingsley Coman cross/shot that looked to be looping into the top corner before he managed to claw it out.
