Axel Witsel (5/10)

Witsel was busy throughout the game trying to get on the ball and influence the play. He stuck to the task given to him and did the defensive part of his job well. But what was missing was the attacking influence, as he was way too slow and laboured while trying to make things happen from midfield. He had a good chance to score in the first half, but wasn’t able to find the target. He wasn’t the ball-carrier and quick distributor Dortmund needed him to be tonight.

Thomas Delaney (5.5/10)

Delaney gave away an unnecessary free kick which brought Bayern back on level terms. He did play some gorgeous forward passes in the first half, but lacked the ability to carry the ball forward for his side. He had his hands full with the Bayern press, and was forced into some early fouls which led to his yellow card and subsequent early withdrawal.
