Borussia Dortmund’s defeat to Bayern Munich just before the international break put them three points behind their title rivals in the Bundesliga standings. The Black and Yellows will now be aiming to get back to winning ways as they look to continue their challenge for the Bundesliga title. On Saturday, they go up against an opponent that could cause them a fair few problems.

Hertha Berlin have made a poor start to the season, but they showed their quality in the 3-0 win over Augsburg before the international break. It was only Hertha’s second win of the season, and eased a bit of pressure on under-fire head coach Bruno Labbadia. Visits to the capital have provided hard fought matches for Borussia Dortmund in recent years, and Hertha Berlin have the quality, especially in attack, to hurt them this weekend.

Borussia Dortmund’s four game winning run ended just before the international break with the 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich. The Black and Yellows were without a doubt the better team on the night, but failure to take their chances ended up costing them heavily against the European champions.
Now with ten games awaiting them in the next 31 days, Borussia Dortmund can ill-afford a defeat to Hertha Berlin. Momentum will be crucial as Lucien Favre’s side look to contend on three fronts, and a win on Saturday would go a long way in helping with that.
