Thomas Meunier (6/10)

Meunier had a fairly decent game against his former club. He kept the dangerous Diatta and de Ketelaere quiet for the majority of the game and also played some dangerous forward passes. It was a much improved performance from the Belgian international before he was replaced by Mateu Morey.

Manuel Akanji (6.5/10)

Akanji was once again solid and reliable as he helped his team earn another clean sheet. He didn’t do much wrong defensively, and came close to scoring in the first half with a well taken snapshot. But Mignolet was equal to it and made the save.

Mats Hummels (7/10)

Hummels was in control at all times, as he so often is. The 31 year old was always in the right place at the right time to clear away any potential danger before Roman Bürki’s goal could be threatened. He also played several of his trademark forward passes to great effect. Hummels also won the ball back in the build-up to Erling Haaland’s opener.

Raphael Guerreiro (6/10)

Guerreiro was hardly troubled defensively, which allowed him to play his natural game going forward. The Portuguese international was always looking to make things happen, and initiated several decent openings for his teammates.
