Borussia Dortmund won their third Champions League game in a row, beating Club Brugge 3-0 for the second time in the group stage.

Coming off a dominant second half against Herta Berlin, Borussia Dortmund’s excellent run of form continued on Tuesday evening. Goals from Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho put the Black and Yellows up 2-0 at the half, before Haaland added his second and finished off the game after the break.

Borussia Dortmund were on the front foot for the majority of the match. They outshot their opponents 21-2, and Roman Bürki was never troubled in the Dortmund goal. With all their second half control and the form he’s in, it was surprising not to see Haaland complete his hat trick, but it was still a comfortable win for Der BVB.

It was the same result for Borussia Dortmund as the reverse fixture in Belgium. Here are three takeaways from what was another comfortable European win for Lucien Favre’s side.
