Erling Haaland enjoyed another record breaking night (surprise, surprise), as his brace helped Borussia Dortmund beat Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Erling Haaland has been scoring goals for fun this season, and has already found the net 17 times in just 13 appearances. Just days after netting four past Hertha Berlin, the Borussia Dortmund striker scored his 15th and 16th goals in the UEFA Champions League, and broke yet more scoring records in Europe’s premier club competition.

  • With his opening goal in the win over Club Brugge, Erling Haaland became the fastest player to reach 15 goals in UEFA Champions League history. The 20 year old has scored 16 goals in just 12 Champions League appearances for RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, smashing the previous record which was jointly held by Ruud van Nistelrooy and Roberto Soldado.
  • Erling Haaland’s two goals helped him take his Champions League tally for Borussia Dortmund to eight goals in just six games. The striker is now just nine goals shy of Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus, who are the club’s all-time top scorers in the competition with 17 goals each. Haaland is now fifth in the list, two goals behind fourth-placed Jan Koller.
  • Haaland has already scored more goals in the UEFA Champions League than legendary players like Ronaldo Nazario, Zinedine Zidane and Miroslav Klose.
