Borussia Dortmund jump right back into action in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with a home game against FC Köln.

Borussia Dortmund are coming off a 3-0 win over Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday which has all but sealed their progress into the round of 16. The Black and Yellows now only need one point out of their last two games to make their place in the round of 16 official, offering Lucien Favre the option of heavy rotation in the final games to keep everyone fit. Dortmund now head back to the Bundesliga looking to build on their win against Hertha Berlin last weekend.

Borussia Dortmund have now won two in a row following the international break and will look to continue their run as they make their way through the congested schedule between now and the end of the year. Erling Haaland has scored 6 goals in those two games and is looking in ominous form. Not only was Haaland back to goal scoring ways against Brugge, but Jadon Sancho finally found the back of the net as well. And he will look to build on that performance in the games to come.

FC Köln have had to endure a rough start to the season, and are yet to win a game in the Bundesliga. Köln have really struggled to find the back of the net thus far, scoring only 8 goals through their first 8 games. They gave a number of talented players in their ranks, but things just haven’t clicked for them since the Bundesliga restarted following the COVID-19 enforced break. Köln are currently tied for last place in the Bundesliga alongside Schalke with three points through the first eight games.
