Borussia Dortmund only need a point to qualify for the UEFA Champions League round of 16, and will be aiming to get the job done against Lazio on Wednesday.

With two matchdays to go in the UEFA Champions League group stage, six teams have already booked their place in the round of 16. Borussia Dortmund can join them on Wednesday with a draw against Italian side SS Lazio. The Black and Yellows are currently top in their Champions League group with nine points from four games, and a point is all they need from their final two games.

Lazio are a point behind, having won two and drawn two. Club Brugge are also in with a chance of qualifying to the knockout rounds, and have four points to their name with two games to go. While Zenit St. Petersburg are already out of the race to qualify, having lost three of their opening four games.

Borussia Dortmund only need a point from their final two games to qualify for the knockout rounds. And a win at home to Lazio on Wednesday would be enough for them to win the group, and secure a more favourable draw in the round of 16. Lucien Favre will be hopeful that his team can get the job done on Wednesday against Lazio, so he can rest his key players for next week’s long trip to Russia to take on Zenit St. Petersburg.
