Hertha win Berlin bragging rights
Hertha BSC won the Berlin derby on Friday evening, beating 10-man Union Berlin in a come from behind 3-1 victory. Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi gave Union the shock lead at the Olympiastadion, but they were soon reduced to ten men after Robert Andrich was sent off for a high foot.
And Hertha Berlin took full advantage by turning the game on its head in the second half. Peter Pekarík smashed home the equaliser, before Krzysztof Piatek scored a brace to give Hertha only their third win of the season.
Wolfsburg stay unbeaten with draw against FC Köln
Wolfsburg came from behind twice to continue their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-2 draw away to FC Köln. The Billy Goats took the lead through Jan Thielmann, but Maximilian Arnold equalised at the half hour mark.
Ondrej Duda restored Köln’s lead, but Wout Weghorst continued his fine start to the season by scoring the equaliser in the 49th minute.
