How Borussia Dortmund could line up for Champions League clash against Zenit

Centre-Backs: Lukasz Piszczek, Mats Hummels, Emre Can
With Manuel Akanji out injured, we could see Lukasz Piszczek return to the stating XI. The veteran Pole has only started one game so far this season, but Borussia Dortmund’s injury crisis means that he will be asked to fill in more frequently in the next few games.
Mats Hummels played 90 minutes against Eintracht Frankfurt despite being an injury doubt before the game. This is the type of fixture that Hummels would be rested for in normal circumstances. But Borussia Dortmund’s injury crisis means that he will have to start.
It will be interesting to see who plays as the third centre-back. Dan-Axel Zagadou and Emre Can both started on Saturday, but the former is just returning from a long injury lay-off and Borussia Dortmund will need to manage his playing time. So Emre Can should start as the third centre-back instead.
