Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has said that his client is very happy at Borussia Dortmund, but did not want to be drawn into talk of his release clause.

Erling Haaland has made a stellar impact since moving to Borussia Dortmund in January. The 20 year old has scored 33 goals in just 32 appearances for the Black and Yellows, and his performances have seen him attract the interest of a number of big clubs. The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for him in recent weeks.

But Mino Raiola, who is Erling Haaland’s agent, says that his client is very happy at Borussia Dortmund. Raiola also praised the mentality, competitiveness and determination of Haaland, comparing him with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is still going strong at the age of 39.

The football agent also said that Haaland was ‘furious’ after being substituted in the game against Hertha Berlin in November. Despite scoring four goals in that game, the Norwegian international wanted to get another.

"“Erling Haaland is like a painting, he is like Munch’s Scream because he causes fear in the defenders. He called me after being substituted in the 85th minute, he had scored four goals, he wanted to score another. He was furious! He wants to be the best even if he’s playing checkers.”"

Haaland, who is currently out with a torn muscle fibre, has four years left on his Borussia Dortmund contract. There have been rumours claiming that there is a release clause in his deal which can be activated after the end of the 2021/22 season. Raiola did not want to talk about the release clause, but said that when Haaland leaves for Borussia Dortmund, it will be for ambition and not money.

"“I can’t talk about Haaland’s release clause. Rumors say that Real Madrid want him? This is not new to me. But he is very happy with Borussia Dortmund. Erling wants to win the UCL. When he’ll leave the club, it will be for his ambition and not for money.”"

Raiola also fired a dig at Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who commented about Haaland’s incredible form earlier this month. “Solskjaer is a good guy but he was wrong when he said that Erling is like Lukaku. It would be better if Solskjaer thought about finding a way to make Pogba play like a champion, instead of talking about Haaland,” Raiola said.
