Borussia Dortmund suffered their most embarrassing defeat of the Lucien Favre era, while Union Berlin held Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw on match-day 11 of the Bundesliga.

Fans were treated to another eventful and thrilling match-day in the Bundesliga, as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich both dropped points.

Borussia Dortmund thumped by five-star Stuttgart

Borussia Dortmund suffered a shock 5-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday, leaving head coach Lucien Favre on the brink. It was a sorry performance from the Black and Yellows, who have now won just one of their last five games in the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart carved open the Dortmund defence at will, and had it not been for goalkeeper Roman Bürki, the scoreline would have looked even uglier for the home side.

Silas Wamangituka continued his fine run of form by netting a brace, while Philipp Förster, Tanguy Coulibaly and Nicolas Gonzalez also scored for the newly promoted side. Gio Reyna scored what only proved to be a consolation for Dortmund.
