Gladbach’s inconsistent form continues

Borussia Mönchengladbach were held to their fifth league draw of the season, this time by Hertha Berlin. After a hard-fought and goalless first half, the Berliners took the lead in the 47th minute through Arsenal loanee Matteo Guendouzi, who scored his first goal in the Bundesliga.

Gladbach responded well and found their equaliser through former Schalke man Breel Embolo. Neither side was able to find the winner, as the Foals fell to eighth place in the Bundesliga standings.

Wolfsburg continue unbeaten start to the season

Wolfsburg came from behind to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 on Friday. The win helped them continue their unbeaten start to the season. Eintracht took the lead in the 63rd minute through Bas Dost’s penalty, before Wout Weghorst equalised from the spot. The Wolves then completed their comeback in the 88th minute, with Weghorst netting his second to seal the win.
