FC Köln earn second win of the season

Mainz’ poor start to the season continued as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to FC Köln, leaving them second bottom in the Bundesliga standings. Elvis Rexhbecaj scored what proved to be the only goal of the relegation six-pointer in the 55th minute to give FC Köln their second win of the season.

The Billy Goats ended the game with ten men after Ondrej Duda was sent off, but the 05ers weren’t able to take advantage.

Freiburg win first game since September

SC Freiburg finally returned to winning ways as second half goals from Vincenzo Grifo and Jeong Woo-yeong helped them beat Arminia Bielefeld. Christian Streich’s side hadn’t won since the opening day of the season, and it looked like their unwanted streak would continue up until the 79th minute, when Grifo’s penalty gave them the lead. Jeong Woo-yeong then sealed the win in stoppage time.
