Mateu Morey (6/10)

Morey was a bit sloppy at times in the first half, but he looked much more assured after the break. He passed the ball really well and was involved in the attacking play with Jadon Sancho on the right.

Manuel Akanji (6/10)

Akanji gave the ball away in the build-up to the Bremen goal. He nearly made amends soon after, but Pavlenka made a great save to deny him. He did finally make up for that mistake by cleverly getting himself in front of Pavlenka and earning the penalty for Borussia Dortmund in the second half.

Mats Hummels (6.5/10)

Hummels was constantly barking orders at his teammates, and he also made his presence felt to Josh Sargent and Nick Woltemade, keeping both Bremen strikers quiet with relative ease. He did hurt his hamstring towards the end, forcing him to go off early.

Raphael Guerreiro (8/10)

Guerreiro’s goal had a touch of class about it. He chested the ball in a crowded penalty area before chipping it over the goalkeeper and Bremen defenders, showing great awareness and confidence. He was always pushing forward, looking to make things happen down the left flank. He did make a few small errors defensively, but overall, it was an impressive display from the Portuguese international.
