Schalke lose yet again

Schalke 04’s miserable run continued on Wednesday, as they lost 2-0 at home to SC Freiburg. Christian Streich’s side dominated the game, and their patience was rewarded in the second half when Roland Sallai scored twice in 18 minutes to seal the three points.

Schalke have now failed to win any of their last 28 games in the Bundesliga, and relegation is starting to look like a real possibility for them.

Gladbach earn late draw in topsy-turvy game

Borussia Mönchengladbach came from two goals down to earn a 3-3 draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday. Lars Stindl gave Gladbach an early lead, but Adi Hütter’s side turned the game on its head thanks to goals from Andre Silva (x2) and Aymen Barkok.

But just when it looked like the Eagles would cruise to victory, David Abraham was sent off. And Gladbach took full advantage, with Lars Stindl grabbing a late brace to complete his hat-trick and help his team earn a valuable point.
