Stuttgart leave it late against Union Berlin

Perhaps suffering from a hangover after their 5-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, Stuttgart made a poor start against Union Berlin, who took the lead in just the fourth minute through Marvin Friedrich. Taiwo Awoniyi then doubled Union Berlin’s advantage in the 76th minute. But Sasa Kalajdzic scored two late goals in the space of five minutes to rescue a point for Stuttgart.

Late winner helps Augsburg beat Arminia

Jeffrey Gouweleeuw scored five minutes from full-time to help Augsburg drown Arminia Bielefeld 1-0. The result helped the Bavarians continue their impressive rise under Heiko Herrlich, and move into the top half of the league table. While Bielefeld remain in 16th place, a point clear of the automatic relegation spots.
