Midfielders: Emre Can, Mahmoud Dahoud

Axel Witsel has started the last four games, and it might be time to give him a bit of rest. Emre Can would be the natural replacement for Witsel, even though the two offer completely different attributes to the team. Edin Terzic was full of praise of Can during his press conference ahead of the game against Union Berlin, and the midfielder should return to the starting XI after coming off the bench on Tuesday.

Jude Bellingham is also due for a bit of rest, paving the way for Mahmoud Dahoud to finally return to the starting XI. The German international has been long overdue for a chance in the starting XI. And hopefully, he will get one against Union Berlin.

Thomas Delaney is also back in training and could be on the bench on Friday.
