Players to Watch

Marco Reus looked lively playing in a slightly deeper role against Werder Bremen. The Borussia Dortmund captain capped off an impressive performance by scoring the winner on Tuesday, and he will now be looking to build on that performance.

Jadon Sancho is still yet to fully get going for Borussia Dortmund this season and Union Berlin presents a perfect opportunity for him to show his world-class quality. Union are likely to sit deep against Dortmund and attempt to keep their attack at bay. Breaking down deep lying defenses was somewhat of a specialty of Sancho’s last season and Dortmund could use some of that right now.

Union Berlin’s key player Max Kruse is out with injury which saves Dortmund some defensive trouble as Kruse usually has their number. Although Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi is in fine form, with two goals in his last three games.
