Thomas Meunier and Thomas Delaney have traveled with the Borussia Dortmund squad for Friday’s game against Union Berlin, but Felix Passlack and Reinier Jesus have missed the trip.
Borussia Dortmund play their final Bundesliga game of the calendar year on Friday, as they take on Union Berlin. The Black and Yellows made the trip to the German capital on Thursday afternoon, and head coach Edin Terzic will be able to call upon Thomas Meunier and Thomas Delaney for the game after the duo travelled with the squad.
Meunier has been out since the end of November with a torn muscle fibre. While Delaney has been struggling with a back injury, and has missed the last four games. Now both players are back to full fitness in what will be a big boost for Borussia Dortmund.
According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Reinier Jesus and Felix Passlack did not make the trip to Berlin. It is unclear why the two are missing from the squad. Reinier was an unused substitute in the game against Werder Bremen on Tuesday, while Felix Passlack did not make the bench.
Borussia Dortmund will also be without Erling Haaland (torn muscle fibre), Thorgan Hazard (muscle injury), and Marcel Schmelzer (rehab after knee operation).
Borussia Dortmund go into the game in fourth place in the Bundesliga standings, while Union Berlin are four points behind with 18 points to their name after 12 games. The last time these two sides faced off was back in February, when Dortmund enjoyed a 5-0 win.
