Defense: Mateu Morey, Mats Hummels, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Raphael Guerreiro

We will likely see some rotation to the back line from Friday’s game and Dan-Axel Zagadou should be primed to make his return to the starting XI. Zagadou has been fit for a few weeks now but he hasn’t played much of a role, mainly coming off the bench in games if at all. Zagadou took a massive step last season in becoming a very trustworthy part of the Dortmund back line, and giving him a start before the end of the year will hopefully bring him one step closer to that form.

Mateu Morey will likely come in for Thomas Meunier on the right side. Meunier hasn’t impressed thus far into his first season and with a Pokal game, Terzic should use the chance to rotate, especially with Meunier just coming back from injury.

Both Mats Hummels and Raphel Guerreiro should keep their spots in the lineup as they are just too crucial to rotate. Unless Terzic is moving Guerreiro up to central midfield (as Kicker suggest), he will feature at left-back. At this point Guerreiro is Dortmund’s best option to create offence, no matter what role he plays.
