Mateu Morey (6.5/10)

Morey put in another encouraging display at right back. He was full of energy and looked to get forward every time he got on the ball. Not afraid to put a tackle in, and always looking to make things happen, Morey linked up really well with Sancho. The only blemish on his performance came in the second half when he let Bär run away from him and through on goal. But luckily for him, the crossbar denied the Braunschweig forward.

Mats Hummels (6.5/10)

Hummels gave Borussia Dortmund the early goal they were looking for, and his strike was the difference between the two teams before Sancho’s late goal. He wasn’t tested much defensively and was afforded a breather for the second half.

Dan-Axel Zagadou (6.5/10)

Zagadou put in another solid defensive shift. He won the majority of his duels, made some vital interceptions, and completed 92% of his passes. He had a couple of minor errors in the second half, but overall, it was a solid return to the starting XI for the Frenchman.

Raphael Guerreiro (6.5/10)

A lot of Borussia Dortmund’s attacking play came through Guerreiro. And while he wasn’t as effective as he usually is, he still set up a couple of decent chances for his teammates. He also came close to scoring a spectacular goal from Jadon Sancho’s corner in the second half.
