Erling Haaland is determined to lead Borussia Dortmund to success, and has set his sights on winning trophies with the club.

Erling Haaland has become one of Borussia Dortmund’s most important players since his January move from RB Salzburg. The Norwegian striker has found the net 33 times in just 32 appearances in all competitions for the Black and Yellows, but he is always hungry for more goals. The 20 year old’s dream right now though, is to help lead Borussia Dortmund to success.

Speaking to DAZN as part of the ‘BVB 09 – Stories who we are’ documentary, Haaland talked about his desire to help Dortmund win trophies.

"“My biggest dream right now is to achieve something with Dortmund and that’s what I am working for. To try to give this to the club and to the fans because everyone in this club deserves this. I will do the best every time I can.”"

Haaland also spoke about his hunger for goals and his determination to find the net again and again.

"“I always want more and more. Yeah I scored four goals, but imagine if I scored six. How much nicer would that be? That’s also what I want.”"

These are the traits that have helped Haaland become one of Europe’s most lethal strikers. Last month, Haaland scored four goals in Borussia Dortmund’s 5-2 win over Hertha Berlin before being substituted with five minutes to go in the game. But he still wasn’t happy to come off and wanted to score more goals.

Haaland’s performances for Borussia Dortmund have seen him attract the interest of a number of other big clubs in Europe. Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for him. But Haaland is very happy in Dortmund.

"“The club bought me for a lot of money and the fans can expect me to give 100 percent. Borussia Dortmund is just the big dream I’m living. Achieving something with BVB is what I’m working for.”"

Haaland is currently on his way back to full fitness after missing the last seven games due to a torn muscle fibre. He is expected to be fit in time for Borussia Dortmund’s next Bundesliga game, against Wolfsburg on January 03.
