Borussia Dortmund are being linked with a move for Manchester City youngster Jayden Braaf, who is reportedly not happy with his lack of first team opportunities.

According to British tabloid Daily Star, highly rated winger Jayden Braaf is unhappy at Manchester City after not getting an opportunity in the first team this season. He is intent on leaving the Premier League side, and Daily Star claim that he is set to join Borussia Dortmund next summer.

Braaf is considered to be one of the best young prospects in the Premier League, and his performances have seen him earn comparisons with Jadon Sancho. The 18 year old joined Manchester City from PSV Eindhoven in 2018, and won the club’s U23 Player of the Year award last season. But after being frustrated by a lack of first team opportunities, he now wants to make a switch to the Bundesliga.

It remains to be seen if there is any truth to this rumour. The story does not mention any details of a potential transfer. There have also been no reports in Germany yet regarding Dortmund’s reported interest in Braaf. But his first team prospects certainly won’t increase, at least in the short term, with the attacking quality Borussia Dortmund have in their squad.

If Braaf does join the Black and Yellows, he will follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who also swapped Manchester for Dortmund. Sancho joined Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and has developed into one of Europe’s best young forwards since his move to Germany. While Bynoe-Gittens arrived earlier this year, and is currently part of the U-19s team.
